Moriya
Hans-Hohlweck is a delicatessen created by "German meat meister" Yutaka Kojima. Since becoming the first Japanese person to win a gold medal at an international contest in Germany in 1983, Kojima has gone on to win a total of 47 gold medals.
The delicatessen faithfully produces 30 different varieties of hams, sausages and grilled meat dishes every day by hand, using traditional German production methods and fresh Tsukuba Mochi Pork. It also has an adjoining beer restaurant, which is popular for its daily lunch specials on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Wild Birds Path is a nature spot where visitors can observe wild birds, while walking along a well-maintained wood path.
The trail begins in the wetlands near Moriyajoshi Park, and continues on through low-lying grassland and woodland areas, and is home to a diverse range of birdlife; including birds of prey such as northern goshawks and Japanese buzzards, along with other species such as the lesser cuckoo, green pheasant and wagtails.
There are also tree-shaded spaces provided along the way, where visitors can rest.

The Meiji "Naruhodo" Factory enables visitors to tour a dedicated yogurt-making factory, and learn about milk, yogurt and other familiar food products. In addition to presenting the history of dairy products and their nutritional value through a wide range of methods including videos, exhibits and dietary education classes, the factory also allows visitors to tour its production lines for yogurt products such as Meiji Bulgaria Yogurt, and even enjoy a hands-on milking experience with a life-sized model cow.
The factory tour is open to children aged 4 years and above, and an advance reservation is required. For parties of 2-9, reservations can be made online via the website, as well as by phone.

Asahi Beer's Ibaraki Brewery is surrounded by beautiful gardens consisting of ponds and trees. Visitors can enjoy a tour of the brewery by making an advance reservation. The tour begins with a large-screen video presentation, followed by an exhibition of raw ingredients, moving on to a tour of the preparation rooms and production lines. Finally, after much anticipation, visitors can sample the freshly-made beer (20 minutes, 3 glasses per person) while enjoying panoramic views of the Kanto Plain from the 60m-tall AIM Tower. The tour lasts around 90 minutes in total.

Coffee Factory is a specialist coffee store chain, with its flagship store in Tsukuba. The Moriya store is conveniently located on the 2nd floor of the Moriya Station building. Here, customers can enjoy specialty coffees drip-brewed from the highest rank coffee beans, which are claimed to account for only a select 5% of all coffee beans distributed within Japan. Customers can also buy coffee to go, which is recommended as an accompanying drink when walking around Moriya. Whole coffee beans can also be purchased.
